Welcome! Here's an update with some important changes we implemented in the library for this year and some useful information:
The Library has purchased a subscription for your use to AudioCaseFiles.com, which provides MP3 audio versions of over 1,000 cases, many of which are in your assigned casebooks. It also provides over 4,000 hours of trial video from over 130 cases.
You can view the videos online, and you can either listen to the audios on your computers or download them to an iPod or other MP3 player. The audio case database includes cases from the casebooks of our own Dean Schill (Property), Professor Yeazell (Civil Procedure), and Professor Grady (Torts), among others.

Dear Law Students,
Since we do not advertise our extended library hours to the public, you will need to visit the Intranet Library Finals Policies page for hours details, as well as important information about Conference Rooms and Limited Access to the library. This information has also been emailed to you.
As always, please let me know if you have any comments, questions or suggestions.
Good luck on Finals and don’t forget to check out our new LibGuides product (http://libguides.law.ucla.edu)!
LibGuides web address in your student mailboxes on Tuesday, April 14. These flashlights can be attached to your key ring or backpack. (Important Note about the flashlights: you need to unscrew the bottom and remove a small plastic circle piece on the bottom battery for the light to work.)
On LibGuides, you will also find a link to other important summer information, including Westlaw and Lexis access, your Loislaw password and library summer hours. We hope you will find LibGuides useful and look forward to your comments on our current guides and suggestions for new guides.
Dear all 2Ls and 3Ls,
Due to popular demand, Bloomberg will be returning to the Law School next week to set up new accounts, revive terminated accounts, or provide training on Wednesday, April 15, 2009.
Mary McBride of Bloomberg will be located in the Law School's clinical lab between 9:00 and 5:00. To make an appointment, please email Mary (mjmcbride@bloomberg.net) directly.
The new Bloomberg Law service is an all-inclusive tool providing legal analysis, filings, opinions, real-time and archival news, and company and financial information. Once you receive your Bloomberg account, you will be able to access the service via the Web using a biometric device, called the B-Unit. You can keep your free account for up to six months after graduation.
Thank you,

UCLA School of Law, Law LibraryPosted on behalf of Kevin Gerson:

| Thursday, 11/27 | Closed | Closed |
| Friday, 11/28 | 9 am - 4:30 pm | Closed |
| Saturday, 11/29 | 9 am - 4:30 pm | Closed |

There will be no access to the After Hours Reading Room when the Library is closed from Wednesday evening to Sunday at 9 a.m.
Extended hours for the Library and After Hours Reading room begin Monday, 12/1. These hours are not made public and are advertised only to the UCLA Law School community, so you must visit the Intranet Finals Hours page to view these hours (or check your email).
We are also instituting a more restrictive access policy for the exam study period. From 12/1 – 12/19 we will not make any UC user access tickets available, and UC users will have to establish that they have specific need of Law Library materials (by showing us a course assignment or a letter from a professor) before they will be allowed in the Library.
In anticipation of the conference rooms being even more heavily used this time of year—with a number of “first-timers” joining in—I wanted to remind everyone that conference room reservations are handled online by going to http://rooms.law.ucla.edu. You will need to login with your LawNet credentials as follows: LAWNET\username. If you need assistance with the login, please don’t hesitate to ask for help at the circulation desk. I’d also like to remind you that your M70 key will get you into the rooms. Remember that you can only make one reservation per day for a maximum of three hours and reservations can only be made the same day. More information about the Conference Rooms is available on the web at: http://www.law.ucla.edu/home/index.asp?page=2567
PLEASE NOTE: You will not be able to delete your conference room reservations during the reading/examination period (beginning December 1).
Don't hesitate to let me know if you have any comments, questions or suggestions.
