Earth Day Fair
From 11am-2pm, E3: Ecology, Economy, Equity and ESLP (the Education for Sustainable Living Program) will host a fair in Bruin Plaza. Student groups will have informational tables set up to educate students about ways to get involved with sustainability on campus, and local companies including Tom’s Shoes, Arbor Sports, and Native Foods will be represented. Students will sell “cups of dirt” (dessert creations containing crushed Oreo cookies and gummy worms) for a small donation. Proceeds will benefit an environmental non-profit organization. Additionally, ASUCLA will offer a discount on all of its environmentally friendly products at the UCLA Store. Students will have the opportunity to win eco-friendly prizes.
From 4-7pm, SWC EARTH (Student Welfare Commission Environmental Awareness, Recycling, and Terrestrial Health) will host an interactive fair in DeNeve Plaza. SUN (The Sustainable Urban Network), RAN (Rainforest Action Network), E3, ESLP, and the ORL (Office of Residential Life) Sustainability Theme floor will be represented at the fair and will lead various activities including flower potting/pot decorating, worm bin composting demonstrations, and a trivia wheel with prizes. Various information relating to sustainability in the dorms, composting, gardening, recycling, fossil fuel dependence, etc. will also be available. Music will be played.

International Coffee Break – ‘GO GREEN’
Please join the Dashew International Center for our Spring Quarter International Coffee Break – “GO GREEN” We will have plenty of activities as well as door prizes to go along with our Earth Day theme! Dashew Center’s International Coffee Break provides a great opportunity for UCLA international and local community to get to know one another, learn about other cultures, and meet new and old friends for food, fun, and beverages.
