Please join us on May 8 for an end of the law school year musical celebration at Largo at the Coronet. See the critically acclaimed, astoundingly talented multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter, producer Jon Brion in one of his famous Friday night shows. 

The show starts at 9:30pm and the cost is $25. You can pay cash at the door or purchase tickets by credit card in advance by calling Largo directly at (310)855-0350 (no additional service charges). I highly recommend getting the tickets as soon as possible because the venue is fairly small and his shows often sell out.  I hope to see you there! Invite your friends!

Earth Day Fair
From 11am-2pm, E3: Ecology, Economy, Equity and ESLP (the Education for Sustainable Living Program) will host a fair in Bruin Plaza. Student groups will have informational tables set up to educate students about ways to get involved with sustainability on campus, and local companies including Tom’s Shoes, Arbor Sports, and Native Foods will be represented. Students will sell “cups of dirt” (dessert creations containing crushed Oreo cookies and gummy worms) for a small donation. Proceeds will benefit an environmental non-profit organization. Additionally, ASUCLA will offer a discount on all of its environmentally friendly products at the UCLA Store. Students will have the opportunity to win eco-friendly prizes. 

From 4-7pm, SWC EARTH (Student Welfare Commission Environmental Awareness, Recycling, and Terrestrial Health) will host an interactive fair in DeNeve Plaza. SUN (The Sustainable Urban Network), RAN (Rainforest Action Network), E3, ESLP, and the ORL (Office of Residential Life) Sustainability Theme floor will be represented at the fair and will lead various activities including flower potting/pot decorating, worm bin composting demonstrations, and a trivia wheel with prizes. Various information relating to sustainability in the dorms, composting, gardening, recycling, fossil fuel dependence, etc. will also be available. Music will be played.

International Coffee Break – ‘GO GREEN’
Please join the Dashew International Center for our Spring Quarter International Coffee Break – “GO GREEN”  We will have plenty of activities as well as door prizes to go along with our Earth Day theme! Dashew Center’s International Coffee Break provides a great opportunity for UCLA international and local community to get to know one another, learn about other cultures, and meet new and old friends for food, fun, and beverages. Due to popular demand, Bloomberg will be returning to the Law School next week to set up new accounts, revive terminated accounts, or provide training on Wednesday, April 15, 2009.

Mary McBride of Bloomberg will be located in the Law School's clinical lab between 9:00 and 5:00. To make an appointment, please email Mary (mjmcbride@bloomberg.net) directly.

The new Bloomberg Law service is an all-inclusive tool providing legal analysis, filings, opinions, real-time and archival news, and company and financial information. Once you receive your Bloomberg account, you will be able to access the service via the Web using a biometric device, called the B-Unit. You can keep your free account for up to six months after graduation.
